Who are the Scots?

Sir Archibald Geikie (1835 - 1924) Geologist, specialising in volcanic geology and microscopic examination of rocks. Joined the Geological Survey and led the survey in Scotland. Between 1870 and 1881 he was Professor of Geology at the University of Edinburgh, then Director General of the U.K. Geological Survey until 1901.
