Born in Edinburgh. Died in Edinburgh.
Novelist

  • 1818 - "Marriage" - many people erroneously thought this had been written by Sir Walter Scott
  • 1824 - "The Inheritance" - thought to be her best
  • 1831 - "The Chief's Daughter"
