Through That Chip ©

Nat Hall
Sandwick, Shetland
2004

Love in
21st century
starts at
the tip
of our
fingers(!)
that micro-chip
replaces
ink,
paper
and stamps...
e-feelings
run my
computer.
Am not
afraid of a
blank page,
e-motion
follows
my cursor...
for every
word
we make
a stance; e-goes,
INBOX, poet,
sister.
Land lines
busy at night
hours, we
swap
our
thoughts -
we press ENTER...
e-sterical
as it may seem,
LOL and [g]
burst out
of hands -
cyber-talk and
smily faces,
friend-chip brings love
to soul and heart.

Let's go
offline, can't
see your
smile,
only
e-
voice.
