The Beast That Killed Beauty ©

Carolle Semple
Aberdeen, Scotland
2007

She knew it would find her
Knew it had been watching, waiting
Her beauty too intense to resist
No longer hidden deep within her abyss

Perfection it cannot acknowledge
Empowerment it clearly can see
Shakes the foundation on which it now stands
Asks no permission for what it now plans

A viral rapist with no remorse
Another planet for it to destroy
Now advancing with death close behind
This virus that goes by the name of Mankind
