Let Us Take A Walk ©

John J Turner Sen.
Glasgow, Scotland
2004

Let us take a walk and talk
Get to know each other
Find what can bring us joy
Or what will cause us bother.

Learn to be as one together
In all the things we do
Hoping all the while
This will keep our love true.

I feel we have an affinity
That is very strange you see
It is almost as though I knew you
Even before you came to me.

Had we met on another plain
Were we lovers even then
Who having found each other
Will we fall in love again?

So then let us take that stroll
You with your hand in mine
And pray we will love each other
For all of our allotted time
