Fetching Sarah ©

David Brady
Stenhousemuir, Scotland
2001

Sarah, I've found fetching, is a word describing you
You make me stand to get a glimpse of little things you do
You make me stand and stop and stare
And I would never dare compare, you to another girl.
I simply feel attracted to the sloping of your eyes
The gentle tanning of your skin, your hair wisps as they rise.
I don't know if you've noticed, the way I watch your smile
I don't know if you've seen my eyes, as we are passing by.
I don't know if you remember, the first time that we met
When once we stopped upon the stairs, and stumbling words were said.
