Better Place ©

Lynsey Cameron
Fife, Scotland
2000

I didn't hear you leave,
I didn't want to believe

I can't hide this fear,
or the pain behind my tear

I can't hide, I can't be,
without you here with me

As I lie and rest my head,
I think of something else instead

It took a while but I found my track
I can now say, I'm finally back

We had some laughs and many a row,
but I think you'd like the place I am now.
